Today’s workout (the first “official” workouts I’m uploading) is a sprint workout. Sprint workouts are designed to get you hitting faster speeds than you have before. The high swingers drill is there to help you losen up those shoulders and get comfortable with the idea of spinning your arms around and letting your stroke get a little splashy. You might also notice there is some butterfly in this workout (if you know how to do it). Even if you are bad at butterfly, give it a try. Butterfly is always hard and if you’re bad at butterfly just attempting it will put you at maximum exertion. Swimming butterfly will reset your “difficulty barometer” and allow you to push even harder on your freestyle sprints.
